POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Design Engineer to join our team in Rochdale and to support the continuing growth of the business. The successful candidate will be collaborating with the existing design team on key projects as well as producing and developing product designs from the concept stage to the final design and manufacturing on site.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Proficient in Solidworks and Auto CAD
• Creative, with an exceptional eye for detail
• Reliable and enthusiastic with the ability to work to demanding deadlines
• Experience in design for manufacture
• Highly organised
• Able to contribute design ideas with strong communication skills
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes

THE ROLE

• Research, concept design and development
• 2D/3D CAD, part and assembly modelling
• Detailed technical drawings
• Produce Bill of Materials
• Design for manufacture
• Design for assembly
• Product testing
• Product improvements
• Produce drawings for onsite laser cutting
• Produce product visuals and renders
• Provide technical support and liaise effectively with the sales team, purchasing, production/manufacturing and the assembly team

SCHEDULE

• Full-time/Permanent, 38 hours a week
• Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 17:00, Friday 8:00 - 14:45
• 28 days paid holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

SALARY

• Negotiable based on qualifications and experience
